1) Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed by us when you use the Services, including when you create an account, upload content, enable permissions (such as location), or contact support.

User Content for meal analysis: photos of meals and/or text prompts or descriptions you choose to upload.
Automatically collected: device information, usage statistics, crash logs, and diagnostics.
Location (optional): precise or approximate location, only if you grant permission.
Cookies (if applicable): used for login and preferences; may include web beacons in web-based components.

We do not perform facial recognition or create biometric identifiers from photos. Photos are used only to generate your requested result and are not used for advertising or marketing.

Default storage: photos you capture are stored locally on your device by default. You control whether any photo or text is uploaded for processing.

3) How We Use Information (Purposes)

Provide and maintain the Services (account, authentication, and AI-powered analysis).
Personalization and tailored recommendations where applicable.
Improve features, performance, and reliability (analytics, debugging, crash fixing).
Safety and security (fraud prevention, abuse detection, protection).
Customer support and troubleshooting.
Legal compliance and responding to lawful requests.

We do not sell personal information.

4) AI Processing and Data Handling

Where processing happens: if you choose to upload photos or text for analysis, your content is processed on our own servers (outside your device) to generate the requested output.
No third-party sharing: we do not share your uploaded photos, text, or generated outputs with any third parties for AI processing.
Deletion after processing: uploaded photos and text are deleted promptly after processing is complete, unless limited retention is required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement, or safety.
No training/marketing use: we do not use your uploaded photos or text to train models for marketing or advertising, and we do not use that content to build marketing profiles about you.
Your control: you decide whether to upload and whether to generate content.

We share information only to the minimum extent necessary:

With your consent or at your direction.
Service providers (processors): vendors helping us operate the Services, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
Legal requirements: to comply with law, regulation, or legal process.
Protection: to protect rights, property, and safety and to prevent fraud or security issues.
Business transfers: as part of corporate transactions, subject to safeguards.

6) International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate
Access controls and least-privilege practices
Regular security reviews and audits
Backup and recovery procedures

No system is 100% secure. Please keep your account credentials confidential.

8) Data Retention

Account data: retained for the duration of your account.
After account deletion: deleted or anonymized within 30 days unless legally required to retain certain records.
Usage data/analytics: up to 12 months.
Support communications: up to 6 months.
AI analysis inputs: deleted promptly after processing (see Section 4).

9) Your Rights and Choices

You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, or withdraw consent (where applicable).

11) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App.
